Perennial: this species is native to the Pacific Northwest. Tall spikes of dark pink flowers which look like miniature hollyhocks grow from a tight mound of rich green scalloped leaves. Works well in moist or wet gardens. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant. Cut spent flowers for best show. Can also grow in a container. Plant 24” apart. Zone 5.
